All State Auditions for All Interested Band Students

Students who wish to audition for the All-State concert or jazz band have the opportunity during this month. Audition materials for students are available online at www.msboa.org. All-State auditions are available to any band student grades 7-12. After paying a small audition fee, the student will begin the process of practicing for the audition. Audition materials are usually available in late August or early September. On the audition day, the student will bring their instrument and their audition music to the audition site. Once signed in, the student will perform their audition onto a digital recorder. There are no judges at this audition. The CD’s are then taken downstate, where a committee of judges review the CD’s and musicians are carefully selected.
