Memorial Day Parade Monday May 30th 9am Report

The Ludington band department considers this performance the most important one of the year. In honor of our fallen heroes, the Ludington High School Marching band along with all 8th grade band members who are going into high school, gather at the band room at 9:00am on Memorial Day. Students wear the LHS Marching Band summer uniform which consists of black “O” hat, orange polo, black mesh shorts, black socks and black shoes. This uniform is purchased before the Memorial Day Parade. The students walk to the courthouse where the band stages for the Memorial Day Parade. The band plays a medley that features all songs of the Armed Forces. The parade ends at Stearns Park where the band plays the National Anthem and the Armed Forces Medley for hundreds of spectators. The band is dismissed at Stearns Park where they are free to have a great day with family and friends.
