Ludington High School Band Spring Concert, Sunday May 6th, 2pm at Peterson Auditorium.
The LHS Bands Spring Concert will feature the LHS Wind Symphony and the LHS Jazz Ensemble. Unlike the winter concert, this concert will be a little bit longer in length due to senior recognition and awards. This is a very special concert for our students as they have worked all year sharpening their music skills. Please make every effort to attend your band student's concert. There will be a small intermission. Refreshments will be provided during intermission as all band students will be bringing in one baked good prior to the show:-)
BREAK
The other students are saying “almost done!” The seniors are saying, “I can’t believe that it went so quickly!” There are two main concerts in May which are the LHS Wind Symphony/Jazz Band and the OJ Middle School 7th and 8th grade band concert. During the high school concert there is an awards ceremony and a senior presentation that makes this concert a little longer than a normal concert. All concerts for band students are mandatory as they are an important part of the student’s overall performance grade. High band student’s concert attire consists of a black tux for the men and black skirt white shirt for the ladies. The LHS band department provides the tux coat, tux pants and black skirts. Students are required to purchase a tux shirt combo which consists of a white tux shirt, black bow tie and cummerbund. OJ Middle School band students are asked to wear “nice” clothes to their concert. LHS Band Department’s definition of nice is no jeans or sneakers. Boys wear ties and ladies wear a dress or blouse. Skirts, if worn, will need to be of an appropriate length! Admission is two dollars for an individual and five dollars for a family. Both start times and admission fees are per the Ludington area Schools board of education.
